“Ann's Cottage Rosedale” Rosedale Valley has a unique scenery that can be difficult to match anywhere.
The iron stone mines have left a legacy all of their own, with remains of the
kilns and mines at Rosedale East, and Chimney bank top. There was a railway
round the valley top which was used to carry materials from the mines. Now the
track bed presents a very pleasant walk with spectacular views of Rosedale
Valley. To the West of Rosedale lays Farndale, famous for it's daffodils in the spring, is also one of the most beautiful Dales in the National Park. Bransdale, a remote valley with a wild charm of it's own, provides a distinct change of scenery, all within easy reach.
