We have never stayed anywhere quite like this. Ann & Colin are so welcoming. The old smithy is stunning and spotless. Fully equipped with everything you need. Its beautiful. They put their hearts and souls into the old smithy and anns cottage. Breakfast is brought to you every morning and done with perfection.. we have found the perfect place to unwind. We were highly recommended to stay at Ann and Colin's cottage. This place is fantastic. The accommodation was outstanding and the breakfast was way above our expectations; it was superb. Ann and Colin gave such a warm and friendly greeting on our arrival and provided a wealth of local knowledge during our stay. Rosedale and the areas around are beautiful. Another perfect stay in our favourite place. Ann & Colin are the most welcoming hosts, they go out of their way to make your stay extra special. Breakfasts are the best, the accommodation is stunning. You can not find any thing to fault here. We have been coming for over 13 years and we will never get bored. Ann & Colin are so blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world and we are blessed that they share their accommodation with us :-) Cottage - Anns Cottage Location: West Yorkshire Country: England Places to see - your recommendation : Railway circular is an absolute must with a stop at The Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge. Lastingham - with lunch or tea stop at The Blacksmiths arms Hutton-le-hole Circular walk - Hole of Horcum - There are plenty of walk descriptions in both cottages. Another must.... Thornton-le-dale... lovely walk and cafe

Fabulous place to stay when you need a retreat. Wonderful selection of home cooked breakfasts by Anne and brought to your door by Colin. What a team! It's more like seeing old friends now. Thank you so much for the care you take over every detail of our stay. A very special place. Cottage - Annes Cottage Location: Derbyshire Country: UK Places to see - your recommendation : Walks at Runswick and Robin Hoods Bay. On your doorstep the Rosedale to Anne's cottage loop. Helmsley and Pickering for some retail therapy and Nunnington Hall for some history. Bird of Prey Centre in Helmsley also worth a visit.

As we have been unable to come for a few months, it has been extra special to come again with our daughter and hubby. Ann & Colin have been wonderful hosts as always and made our visit exceptional with the warmest of welcomes. It’s so good to be back. This is an amazing place to come and stay. We love it here and always will and we’re already looking forward to our next visit which won’t be long. Standards never fail, just get better and better.
